Location: Near Maidenhead (commutable from Reading, Slough, High Wycombe, Bracknell)
Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 + Overtime + Benefits
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Type: Permanent

The role offers a varied workload across incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities, supporting the production of complex, high-specification engineered products.

Quality Inspector Duties
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections
- Carry out dimensional and visual inspections of precision components
- Use measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs
- Inspect parts against engineering drawings and specifications
- Complete inspection reports, NCRs, and quality documentation
- Identify and manage non-conforming products
- Maintain traceability and inspection records
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions
- Assist with ISO9001 / AS9100 quality compliance activities
- Communicate quality issues with production and engineering teams
- Participate in continuous improvement and Lean initiatives
What they’re looking for
Essential:
- Previous Quality Inspection experience within engineering or manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experienced using precision measuring equipment
- Strong understanding of inspection and quality processes
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
Desirable:
- Experience in aerospace, motorsport, or precision engineering environments
- CMM operation or programming experience
- Knowledge of ISO9001 / AS9100 standards
- Experience producing FAIRs to AS9102 standards
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma
- Exposure to NDT methods (e.g. MPI, Nital Etch)
