The Role: As a Science Technician at our Secondary School in Leeds, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of high-quality science education. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing equipment and materials for practical science lessons, ensuring everything is readily available for teachers and students.
  • Maintaining laboratory facilities to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Assisting teaching staff during practical lessons, providing guidance and support to students as they conduct experiments.
  • Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations within the science department.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Science Technician in an educational setting is essential.
  • A passion for science and a desire to inspire and support students in their learning journey.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
