Accelerate Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant Secondary School in Leeds. Starting in September 2024, this role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact on young minds.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of students' education in the absence of their regular teachers. This position is perfect for those who have a strong desire to support students' learning and development, while gaining valuable experience in a school environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Classes: Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a productive learning environment.
  • Deliver Pre-Set Work: Ensure that students complete the work set by their regular teacher.
  • Support Learning: Assist students with their tasks and provide additional support where needed.
  • Maintain Order: Uphold the school's policies and procedures to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
  • Communication: Liaise with teaching staff and senior management regarding any issues or concerns.

  • Experience: Previous experience working in a school setting is essential.
  • Education: A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Adaptability: The capability to manage various classroom settings and subjects.
  • Commitment: A passion for education and a genuine interest in students' progress and well-being.
