  • Do you have experience / exposure of Machining (CNC and manual) or Assembly (None automated assembly, bespoke mechanical fitting)?

EMBS Engineering has been tasked with identifying multiple Production Managers on behalf of a world renowned, reputable precision engineering company that offers turnkey solutions to high profile organisations that are seeking a "one stop shop" for all of their manufacturing capabilities.

Our client is located in Nottingham and has the capabilities to produce complex, detailed components through machining, assembly, fitting and special process manufacturing for globally recognised customers that operate predominantly within the aerospace and defence industries.

Due to an internal re-structure and supporting continued growth, our client is seeking multiple Production Managers to oversee specific business units to drive change, identify continuous improvement opportunities and deliver on company objectives through SQCDP, aligning to company goals.

This role would be ideal for Production Managers, Business Unit Manager, Cell Leads, Works Managers, Shopfloor Managers that want an expansive, growing organisation.

Responsibilities will include but is not limited to:
 

  • Contributing to the site strategy through the selected strategy process and ensuring its execution
  • Hold functional support and staff accountable for adhering to business standards and enabling their team to meet their targets
  • Leading and developing the team to understand the context, mechanics, and delivery of what SQCDP targets to meet customer and stakeholder commitments
  • Display activist leadership in Problem Solving using a ‘Go to Gemba’ approach
  • Following SQCDP process and responsible for all elements within;
    • Safety
    • Quality
    • Cost
    • Delivery
    • People 


In order to be considered for this position, you MUST be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous management experience within a precision engineering / advanced manufacturing environment, ideally Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Defence or subcontract machining
  • Technical understanding of either Machining and/or Assembly Fitting
  • Worked with high value components 
  • Working knowledge of SQCDP
  • Ability to lead, coach and develop direct reports
  • Confident driving cultural change, implementing new processes / ways of working
  • Strong leadership characteristics
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, fast moving environment
  • Worked to business / company objectives
