The company

Major IT & Digital are delighted to be working on an exclusive arrangement with one of UK’s leading IT and telecom business based in the Derbyshire area.

Working for a well-established business with over 20 years industry experience, achieving a UK turnover in excess of £10m with continued growth and expansion plans.

The role

You will be report directly into the company director and manage a number of key departments including solution delivery, service desk teams, installation and maintenance including project management teams.

This is a key position to ensure the day-to-day delivery of both my clients IT & telecoms solutions whilst working closely with other internal teams to ensure the business meets agreed targets and exceeds service level agreements.

The person

  • Responsible for 3 direct reports (senior level) including operational management of the service desk and technical engineering teams
  • A solid understanding of management experience including a good knowledge of the IT (managed services) industry including service delivery
  • Ability to identify, monitor, and resolve operational customer issues and provide timely status reports
  • Extensive Infrastructure and IT Operations (service and installations) background with previous hands-on experience
  • On-going technical progression and championing a learning culture within the team
  • Develop and implement a robust continuity management plan, evaluating risks and ensuring critical business processes are supported
  • Proven experience of creating a Service Delivery function to align to business strategy and ITIL principles
  • Ability to monitor service performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) and take a proactive approach
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate technical teams
  • A solid understanding of both infrastructure and networking, including cloud computing, VOIP and telephony systems
  • A self-motivated individual, that adopts a learning culture across the business
  • Ability to travel to customer premises when required.
