Aerospace sheet metal Worker

Company details: One of the Midlands prestigious Aerospace Manufacturers is currently seeking to recruit a sheet metal worker. Manufacturing Parts for Airbus and BA. The position will be Based at the site in Derby. Our client currently employ over 200 people at the site, we are now looking to add contract support to the work force to assist with the growth of the business.

For this Sheet Metal Worker position you must:

• Experience operating fabricating machines such as brake press, guillotine, band saws
• Experience shaping metal using hand and other tools such as stretch forming, rubber press, brake press, pipe bending
• Experience with deburring, drilling, countering and forming
• Able to lay out, measure and mark dimensions using calculators, scribes, dividers, rulers and squares
• Have experience working with Aluminium
• Adhere and follow ISO9001 procedures
• Previous experience withing the aerospace sector
• Able to work to tight tolerances and deadlines
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Able to work with limited supervision and have good attention to detail

Required qualifications for this Sheet Metal Worker vacancy:

An Apprenticeship or equivalent City & Guilds qualification is desirable.

A flexible approach will be needed to meet the strict deadlines needed to adhere to by our clients.

Hourly rate for this Sheet Metal Worker position: £15 - £24 hr dependant on experience 

Hours of work: 7:30 am-4pm (mon - thur) 7:30am-12:30pm (fri)
