Children's Residential Team Leader

Location: Derby
Salary: £25,000 - £27,500 per annum
Shift Patterns: Includes Early, Late, and Full Days with Sleep-In Duties

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Residential Team Leader to oversee a team committed to providing outstanding care to children in a residential setting. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in children's residential care who is looking to make a significant impact on the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of support workers to deliver high-quality care and support in line with individual care plans.
  • Ensure the physical, emotional, and educational well-being of children and young people in the home.
  • Organise and participate in activities that foster learning and development.
  • Maintain compliance with all safeguarding protocols and regulations.
  • Manage a variety of shifts:
    • Early Shifts: 07:30 – 15:00
    • Late Shifts: 14:30 – 22:00 or sleep-in
    • Full Day Shifts: 07:30 – 22:00 or sleep-in
  • Effectively communicate with team members, management, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the children.

Requirements:

  • Must hold at least a Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent.
  • Possess a full UK manual driving license.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a children's residential setting.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-in shifts.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop others.
