Service Engineer (heavy industry)

£60,000 OTE + a Vehicle

Northampton based with travel to customer sites.

My client is a UK subsidiary of a European manufacturer who produce a comprehensive range of specialist piling rigs and construction equipment. They have a substantial hire fleet of piling rigs, attachments, drilling rigs and piling hammers as well as associated plant and equipment. Due to planned expansion, my client is looking for qualified engineers who have experience with mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs, to join thier team. They have taken people from The forces, manufacturing, plant, heavy industry and offshore and are happy to provide training on all equipment.

This is a Monday to Friday day's role which will involve travel. The ideal candidate will be looking for a hands-on heavy engineering role where there is lots of overtime, a great team already in place and good training programmes.

Service Engineer Job Duties:

• Carry out preventive maintenance, scheduled maintenance, servicing and repairs on manufactured machinery and equipment (yard based and site work).
• Look after after all aspects of machine function: engines; hydraulic systems; electrical systems, and control systems.
• Work on your own and in a team to provide an efficient service and ensure good customer feedback.
• Where need be, visit customers' job sites and their plants around the country to provide full-service.
• Assist with the commissioning of new or hired machinery and equipment.
• Training customers machine operators and service personnel when/as required.
• Control of parts and spares in service vehicles.
• Fault finding and diagnostic skills.
