Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Engineer to join our highways project team. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our projects, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency throughout all stages of construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day site activities, including setting out, surveying, and monitoring progress.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and optimise construction processes.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to site activities, progress, and resources.
• Provide technical support and guidance to site staff, including junior engineers and technicians.
• Proactively identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost-saving measures.
• Foster a positive and collaborative working environment conducive to achieving project objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience working on highways or large infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in surveying techniques and equipment, including total stations and GPS.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Sound problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with relevant software applications, such as AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
