Due to an extended period of exponential growth, we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the expanding design team.

 

About The Mechanical Design Engineer Role

You will be responsible for mechanical design and development of bespoke equipment and machines.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for:

 

  • Design custom mechanical solutions for automation, assembly, robotics, and testing gear to meet client needs and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to understand requirements and develop effective designs.
  • Conduct thorough feasibility studies to assess design viability.
  • Use CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D models and assemblies.
  • Choose materials, components, and processes for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Integrate mechanical systems seamlessly with other components.
  • Review, simulate, and test designs for performance and safety.
  • Create technical documentation to support manufacturing processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for innovation.
  • Provide technical support to production teams during implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.

A successful Mechanical Design Engineer will need:

  • 3+ years of equipment/machinery design experience
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD.
  • Demonstrate prior experience in a machinery/equipment manufacturing related sector.
  • Full Rights to work in the UK
