Materials Controller

Location: Leicestershire

Salary: DOE

Company: One of Europe's leading print and packaging manufacturer. 

Role The role will be responsible for the control of materials and identifying required materials based on production schedules and forecasts.

• Ordering materials from overseas supplies and control of stocks based on and off site.
• Purchasing outers and packaging in line with demand.
• Responsible for controlling and identifying materials within credit limits.
• Working closely with planners, suppliers, production, goods in and technical
• Responsible for short and long term materials orders and forecasts
• Works with the senior management team

Requirements:

• Previous experience of working with a materials planner / controller role in a manufacturing environment
• Experienced within a packaging and labels - highly preferred 
• Strong commercial awareness
• Experience of using an MRP system
• Excellent use of MS Office
• Able to work with accuracy and fine attention to detail, particularly when under pressure
• Possesses a desire to understand customer and colleague’ requirements
• Uses initiative when approaching new tasks, tackling problems and prioritising workload
