Maintenance Engineer (Injection Moulding) - Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, a trusted global supplier of premium quality injection moulding tools and rigid plastic-moulded packaging based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire who are looking for a Maintenance Engineer with Injection Moulding experience to join their growing team. The successful Maintenance Engineer will have experience of working within a high-volume Plastic Injection Moulding environment.

Shifts:                          Continental shift 4 on 4 off (06:00-18:00 and 18:00-06:00).

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager to realise the goals of the department and to provide a first-class service to all internal customers to assist them in realising their goals.

Key result areas and key accountabilities:

  • To maintain all production equipment and machinery both electrically and mechanically.
  • To maintain and service plan and equipment both electrically and mechanically.
  • To carry out breakdown repairs to all plant equipment and machinery.
  • To carry out project work when assigned.
  • To request new and replacement parts when required.
  • Must work to a high degree of safety and cleanliness and must be able to work under own supervision.
  • To ensure that all documentation relating to any work carried out is filled in correctly and completed on time.
  • Must inform the Engineering and Servicing manager of any training requirements.
  • Must communicate and co-operate with other departments.
  • To maintain and implement the planned preventative maintenance schedule.
  • To ensure that all outside contractors are working to company rules.
  • To identify areas that can be improved and implement such improvements as agreed with the
  • Engineering and Servicing manager.
  • Adhere to the company ISO standards.

Requirements of the job:

  • Minimum of 4 years apprenticeship.
  • B/Tec Level 4 Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • City and Guilds part 232 part 1 and 2.
  • HNC Electrical Engineering (preferred).
  • Basical mechanical skills

Work Experience and Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5 years shift engineering experience.
  • Experience in injection moulding and high-speed assembly equipment.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic techniques.
  • Welding techniques.
  • Fabricating techniques.
  • Multiskilling ability.
