Field Service Engineer (Fire & Security)

Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off (Days and Nights)

Engineering @ 365 are currently working with a leading provider of fire and security solutions, who are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer on a permanent basis.

Job Description: 

As a Field Service Engineer specialising in the fire and security industry, you will play a critical role in providing technical support, maintenance, and repair services for our clients' fire alarm and security systems. You will be responsible for conducting on-site inspections, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the proper functioning of our systems to safeguard our clients' properties and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, testing, and servicing of fire alarm systems, security cameras, access control systems, and other related equipment.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency requests to diagnose and resolve technical issues, including system failures, false alarms, and malfunctions.
• Perform repairs, adjustments, and replacements of faulty components to restore system functionality and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Install, program, and configure new fire and security systems, including control panels, detectors, sensors, cameras, and access control devices.
• Provide technical support and training to clients, building owners, and end-users on the operation and maintenance of fire and security systems.
• Maintain accurate service records, including work orders, service reports, and equipment documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, sales representatives, and other team members to coordinate service activities and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in fire and security systems.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience working as a Field Service Engineer or Technician in the fire and security industry.
• Strong technical skills in fire alarm systems, security cameras, access control systems, and related equipment.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting tools, diagnostic equipment, and software used in the fire and security industry.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
