Support Worker - Kirkby-in-Ashfield

We are looking for Support Workers to join our incredible team in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.
A driver with a clean UK licence would be very desirable for this role as the people we support have their own cars and love to get out and about in them.
The people that live here require 24-hour care and support. They enjoy a range of activities including:
- Going out for walks
- Going out to meet up with family and friends
- Going for a drive out to places of interest
- Having a tea/coffee at the local cafes
- Local days out into town, to the popular parks and restaurants
- Going to the theatre and cinema
- Playing snooker / pool
- Swimming
- Day trips to the seaside, theme parks, museums, zoo’s, farms etc
- Holidays to the seaside
- Themed days such as Films and popcorn, fancy dress
- Celebrating with parties on birthdays, at Christmas, Easter and Halloween
- Arts and Crafts
- Baking
What we're looking for:
- A genuine passion for supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
- Full-time: 37.5 hrs
- Part-time: flexible hours based on availability
All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
- Days: Between 07:00-14:30pm AND 14:30-22:00pm
- Waking Nights: 22:00-07:00am
*All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
