Our client, a well established manufacturing company in yeovil, has a fantastic opportunity for a Manufacturing Process Engineer. This role is NOT suited for chemical process engineers

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will be responsible for the overall technical and engineering development of new and existing projects ensuring that scrap, productivity, and price targets are achieve.

If you are a graduate , or have worked in a tool room or a machine shop and have the capabilities to do this role we also want to hear from you

Responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling engineering projects- including new parts and cost/scrap reduction activity

  • Expedite, monitor and control projects throughout all processes, ensuring they remain on schedule and are delivered/completed on time

  • Work closely with customers to develop acceptable drawing standards, specifications and casting designs.

  • Working closely with the Engineering Manager and team leaders to ensure designs can be achieved through foundry and machining operations.

  • Fixture/Gauge Design

  • Creating CAD models for Parts/Fixtures and Gauge using Solidworks

  • Scrap reduction and continuous improvement

You should:

Have an HNC in Engineering or equivalent

Have the ability to read Engineering/Technical drawing

Experience in casting technology would be desirable

Experience with Solidworks 3D Modelling would also be desirable.

Be a good problem solver and have analytical reasoning.

Monday-Thursday 0800-16.45

Friday- 0800-13.45

Salary- £32k-£40k

Annual leave- 25 days plus 8 BH

Pension- company contribution on 3%

Life insurance- 2 x annual salary Death in Service
