My well established client seeks an addition to their already busy team of 6 in Purchase Ledger.  Due to another acquisition they need someone with at least a year's purchase ledger experience.  Great friendly team to work with and new offices as they have recently moved.

JOB PURPOSE:

To provide support to the Financial Controller, Management Accountants, Manager, colleagues, and suppliers. To effectively record all relevant purchase transactions in accordance with the Company’s known procedures, to ensure that invoice queries are identified and resolved, and invoices cleared for payment in a timely and effective manner.

CORE ACTIVITIES:

To be able to fulfil the everyday role of purchase ledger clerk and all duties required therein, including but not exclusive to: 

  • Invoice registering and processing onto Autoline using the Abby Bot system
  • Supplier statement reconciliations 
  • Matching invoices with GRN’s and Orders and ensuring correct authorisation obtained
  • Dealing with supplier queries via telephone and email
  • Liaise with depots and suppliers in regards to queries/outstanding documents 
  • Deal with POAs (payment on account) on allocated suppliers i.e. direct debits taken, no invoice received 
  • General administrative support for the accounts office, filing, scanning  and ad hoc duties as requested 
  • Any such other duties as you may reasonably be required to perform within the scope of your knowledge, skills, and ability.

After 3 months 4% pension contribution (theirs in line with Government minimum which will increase to a total of 8% in April 2019)
