Electrical Design Engineer

Are you a skilled Electrical Design Engineer with a passion for creating innovative solutions for commercial projects? Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers, and other engineering disciplines to design electrical systems for a wide range of commercial projects, including office buildings, retail spaces, and educational institutions.
• Develop detailed electrical design drawings, specifications, and calculations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and other design tools to create 3D models and simulations for project visualization and coordination.
• Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and lighting design to optimize energy efficiency and performance.
• Select appropriate electrical equipment and components, considering factors such as cost, reliability, and sustainability.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, reviewing electrical drawings, conducting site visits, and collaborating with contractors.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering for commercial projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer in commercial projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other BIM tools.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and lighting design principles.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., IET Wiring Regulations, BS 7671, etc.).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovative and sustainable solutions.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities, able to collaborate with colleagues, clients, and contractors.
