We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Timber Sales Executive to join us. This role involves supporting the Timber Sales Manager by securing new customers, maintaining existing customer relationships, and assisting with product ideas and strategies. The ideal candidate will have a background in selling machined softwood products, strong industry contacts, and a commitment to meeting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in securing new customers in the builders, timber merchants, construction companies, shed manufacturers, and decking wholesalers sectors.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with existing customers.
  • Support the development and implementation of cold calling strategies to generate new business.
  • Report weekly sales KPIs to the Timber Sales Manager.
  • Contribute to achieving and exceeding weekly sales targets and goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the timber sales market.
  • Established list of contacts and relationships, particularly in the decking and shed cladding sectors.
  • Proven track record in selling machined softwood products.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to support the development and implementation of effective sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in basic office tools and software.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Possesses a list of industry contacts ready to engage.
  • Demonstrates strong independent work capabilities with minimal supervision.
  • Shows excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Exhibits a proactive and determined approach to achieving sales goals.
