Are you an innovative individual with great analytical and problem-solving skills? Then this might be your next role.

CIMSPA is the professional development body for the UK’s sport and physical activity sector, committed to supporting, developing and enabling professionals and organisations to succeed and, as a result, inspire our nation to become more active.

Together we’re developing a vibrant, UK-wide sport and physical activity sector, with the highest standards of service delivery.

We are looking for a Business Insight Officer to support the organisation’s growth. You will contribute towards CIMSPA’s insight and business transformation and use data analysis to influence our strategy, products, services and business decision making.

Working within the Insight and Business Transformation team you will be involved in data collection, analysis and reporting across both the individuals and organisations connected to CIMSPA as well as the wider sport and physical activity sector.

You will also be involved in supporting, monitoring and evaluating pilots of new products/services – collecting customer and market feedback with a continual focus on looking for ways to improve CIMSPA’s customer offer. You will be able to integrate your analytical skills into the role, helping to reduce costs, increase revenue, and improve CIMSPA’s overall performance.

Key tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to identifying CIMSPA’s insight and research needs in alignment with CIMSPA’s strategy, vision and mission.
  • Identify and collate existing research from across the sector contributing to CIMSPA’s insight.
  • Architect ethical and quality research decisions.
  • Support market tests and pilots of minimum viable products – evaluating performance and making recommendations for next steps to the CIMSPA senior management team.
  • Effectively use CIMSPA resources and assets to turn data into meaningful intelligence that can support decision-making internally and externally.
  • Work in partnership with third-party organisations to produce effective research and insight and be able to collate and present it in a user-friendly format.
  • Work with the project team to scope insight projects in a clear and practical way, within budget and CIMSPA’s project remit.
  • Attend events that showcase CIMSPA’s strengths – networking and demonstrating CIMSPA’s team behaviours at all times.
