Exciting Opportunity for a Maintenance Surveyor - Midlands Region

Salary up to £45,000 per annum

Are you an experienced property professional with a passion for maintaining homes to the highest standards?

I am working with a national social housing provider, in search for a Maintenance Surveyor to join their repairs team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the properties across the Midlands region are in excellent condition.

The Opportunity with our client - a social housing provider

  • In this hands-on role, youll be responsible for ensuring our homes across the Midlands meet the high expectations. Through regular property inspections and effective contractor management, youll take ownership of maintaining the buildings to an impeccable level.
  • Your working day will see you visiting our properties, assessing maintenance requirements, and coordinating necessary works with their trusted contractors. Youll also conduct stock condition surveys, investigate damp and mould issues, and contribute to our fire safety initiatives.
  • To succeed in this role, youll need a relevant professional qualification (such as an HNC) or equivalent experience in a building surveying or trade role. Previous property inspection experience, ideally within the housing association or local authority sector, is highly advantageous.
  • We're looking for someone with in-depth knowledge of residential construction, building codes, and safety regulations. Experience issuing work orders, managing contractors, and using Nat Fed schedules of rates is essential.
  • Crucially, youll be a fantastic communicator with exemplary customer service skills. A flexible, self-motivated approach and the ability to solve problems and make decisions independently are key attributes we value.
  • And, of course, youll need a full driving license and access to a vehicle for travel across the region.

As a G1 governance rated organisation by the Regulator of Social Housing, you'll be part of a provider with robust governance standards that fully comply with regulatory requirements. This top rating is evidence of our strong leadership, ethical practices, and commitment to maintaining exemplary operational oversight.

Our housing stock is impeccably maintained, a testament to our drive for continuous improvement. You'll be immersed in an organsational culture laser-focused on enhancing practices at every level to deliver outstanding service quality that truly stands out.

You're joining a housing provider celebrated for stability, sound risk management, and a steadfast dedication to creating sustainable communities.
