We are working in partnership with a Sheffield based company to recruit a Driver Liaison Officer.

This is a full time, Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm permanent position.

Based in the Sheffield office, the role will involve planning Driver routes to ensure all deliveries and collections are successfully achieved.  

Suitable candidates will possess experience of transport planning / logistics administration / route planning.

KEY DUTIES:

• Liaising with external support services, such as agency drivers and office administrators to ensure that routes cover all collections
• Minimise the use of couriers in favour of our own logistics 
• Liaising with Engineers and Drivers daily to arrange collections and deliveries to and from sites
• Efficient Driver route planning
• Effective management of peak demand by efficient utilisation of the above or cover should the need arise
• Communicate all delays reported by drivers, couriers and engineers 
• Utilise company CRM for liaising with Engineers and colleagues  
• Establish effective, professional, positive working relationships with colleagues and Engineers
• Be responsible for personal health and safety at work 
• To make your Line Manager aware of personal or professional development needs
• Handle confidential information with due care and maintain confidentiality 
• Ensure any concerns or issues regarding the vans are communicated immediately
• Provide occasional cover for the Drivers as and when required

The salary is £23,000 - £25,000 per annum plus excellent benefits and a great holiday allowance.
