We are currently working with a leading provider of electrical safety and compliance services. We are committed to ensuring the safety of electrical appliances in various environments, including commercial, industrial, and residential settings. We are looking for a meticulous and qualified Portable Appliance Tester (PAT Tester) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections and testing of electrical appliances to ensure they meet safety standards and regulatory compliance. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent technical skills, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough inspections and testing of electrical appliances in various environments.
  • Recording and maintaining accurate test results and reports.
  • Identifying and diagnosing faults or issues with electrical appliances.
  • Providing recommendations for repair or replacement of faulty equipment.
  • Ensuring all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and providing excellent customer service.
  • Keeping up-to-date with current regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in PAT testing (e.g., City & Guilds 2377 or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in PAT testing within commercial, industrial, or residential settings.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different client sites.

Desirable:

  • Experience with computerized testing equipment and software.
  • Additional electrical qualifications or certifications.
