HGV Class 2 Road sweeper Driver

We are recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Road sweeper Driver to work for a local council based in Ilkeston

Experience of driving a similar vehicle is essential and ideally good area knowledge of Ilkeston and Long Eaton

For this vacancy you will need to have:

• Previous experience of working in a similar environment
• Good Area Knowledge
• A clean criminal record
• A "can do" attitude

Details: HGV Class 2 Road sweeper Driver -

• Salary: £13:02 per hour
• Working Hours are Monday to Friday, starting as early as 4am some days, or 7:30am other days
• 8 hour shifts
• Covering some weekends when required
• Location: Ilkeston

Role of a HGV Class 2 Road sweeper Driver

• Driving a HGV Class two Left-hand drive road sweeper
• Operate a sweeper truck to clean streets, parking lots, and other designated areas
• Drive the sweeper truck to assigned locations and follow a predetermined route
• Operate the sweeper equipment to effectively clean surfaces
• Empty and dispose of collected debris in designated areas
• Perform routine checks on the sweeper truck and equipment
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating the sweeper truck
• Ability to engage with the general public
