Child Protection Chair

Location: Nottinghamshire

Rate: £42 umbrella

Hours: 37 Per week

Start: ASAP

A Child Protection Chair is required for Nottinghamshire County Council.

The role entails good quality assurance oversight and monitoring of children's plans and the progress to move towards achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

Duties include:

  • Chairing multi agency meetings and conferences
  • Covering predominantly Newark and Bassetlaw area
  •  Conducting  face to face as well as hybrid/Teams meeting.
  • Travel to other locations in the County may be required Needed to Chair ICPC/RCPC and multi agency child exploitation meetings
     

Ashberry Recruitment would ask that applicants meet the following:

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
  • Previous IRO/CP Chair Experience
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups.
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
