New roles for Project Manager - Gas Transmission working with a national grid contractor who work all over the country. The role will involve Project Management of sites around the UK and be a long term permanent role. The role will mean some travel, working from home, local offices and on site - home for the weekend. This is a really exciting new role for the right person - we don't mind what location people are but travel will be required for the successful candidate. 

The role will include:

  • Working around National Grid and Cadent sites in the UK 
  • Project Management of the sites, working with the management team, commercial team and subcontractors
  • Leadership on Health and Safety, quality and CDM regulations
  • Management of Site Agents and Engineering leaders on site
  • Chairing site meetings and submitting progress reports
  • Responsibility for all site activities 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong demonstration of Project Management on National Grid gas sites
  • CSCS Card and SHEA gas card
  • SMSTS
  • Extensive experience within civil engineering and particularly in running national grid projects
  • Willingness to work away as this will be a major part of the role (with hotels and mileage covered)
  • Leadership qualities and strong project management experience
  • A positive attitude towards work
